Worn deadlock replaced with a British Standard deadlock

The existing mortice deadlock was worn and getting hard to lock — a classic sign it’s close to failing and leaving someone locked in or out.

I removed it and fitted a British Standard 5-lever mortice deadlock, so it now locks smoothly and meets the BS3621 standard most insurers ask for.
